'The Queen presented Lieutenant Shackcltou withther portrait and also a silk Union Jack, remarking, “ May this lead you safely to tho South Polo.” Sir Wm. A. Cell; a Surrey gentleman, has presented AiOOO towards tho cost of the expedition. [Tho Nimrod was due to sail to-day.]
