(From Our Own Correspondent. ) A paper on the life of Charles Dickens was given by Mr J. Deckc at the Literary Society’s meeting on Thursday. Speeches and readings were ’contributed by tho_ members. The team to represent Apiti on the 20th inst. will consist of Dr. Groogry, Messrs J. Matthews, F. S Guy and J. McKenzie. Should the Kimholtou quartette win the day they will have every reason to feel satisfied-with themselves.
