France and Spain are determined to forthwith enforce the provisions of Algerians Convention for the Franco-Spanish policing of Casablanca and land troops. Members of the French Colony, numbering 160, took refuge aboard British merchantmen. Several French battleships aud cruisers and Spanish warships aro preparing to proceed to Morocco. The Italian cruiser F.tna has been placed at tho disposal of French Legation at Tangier. The British cruiser Antrim lying at Gibraltrr was ordered to hold herself in readiness for pro-emptory service. Morocco, August 4.
Raisuli declares that Sir H. MacLoan was insincere aud therefore was captured. Ho offers to negotiate with the British Legation through Reuter’s correspondent. Paris, August 4. It is expected that -1000 French and Spanish troops, with the consent of tho Powers, who signed the treaty of Algeciras, will occupy Casablanca within a week.
