Mr£G. Brookman, of Western Australia, delivered an address to the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce on cotton growing and wool growing in Western Australia. Sir Alfred Jones recommended tho establishment of agricultural banks in order to finance planters and purchase cottou. There evidently was good future in Australia for young Englishmen with capital.
