SERIOUS RAILWAY ACCIDENT.

A train, with 800 excursionists at Pore Parquette railway, near Salem, Michigan, dashed into a freight train coming in the opposite direction and six out of eleven cars were destroyed. Thirty-five were killed and scores injured, many critically. One hundred and fifty children were among the excursionists and a few were severely hurt, but the victims were chiefly men.
