COAL LUMPERS’ STRIKE.

Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, July 20. At a meeting of the Coal Lumpers’ Union to-day, it is understood that they accepted the employers’ modified proposals. Work will be resumed early next week. Sydney, July 22. The coal lumpers will receive three halfpence additional per hour for night work. The owners remain firm as regards free labourers and permanent foremen, but have no objection m the case of casual foremen to employ unionists.
