House of Representatives.

Per Press Association. Wellington, July 19. In the House the following -Bills, Potone Water Supply Conservation, Wanganui Harbour, and Magistrates Court Act 1593 Amendment were read a first time. The Coal Mines Act Amendment Bill (No. 2) was read a second time pro forma and referred to the Mines Committee. The Pure Food and Public Trust Amendment Bills were read a third time and passed. The Rotorua Town Bill was taken in committee. Tho Hon. Mr Carroll introduced the second reading of tho Tohunga Suppression Bill. On resuming at" 7.30 p.m., the Land Laws Amendment Bill, the Land and Income Tax Amendment Bill, and the National Endowment Bill wero brought down by the Governor’s message and read a first time. Mr T. M. Wilford resumed the debate on the Tohunga SuppressiSh Bill, which was continued by Messrs Ngata, C. B. Major, and A. L. D. Fraser. Tho second reading was agreed to and it was referred to their Native Affairs Committee for their report. The second reading of the Polico Offences Act Amendment Bill and tho Products Export Amendment Bill were agreed to on tho voices. Tho Farriers Bill was read a third time and passed. The House rose at 9.30 p.m.
