BOMBS FOR THE OPERA .
The police discovered a Nihilist plot in May for the assassination of the four Russian Grand Dukes staying in Paris. It was at first thought that the bombs which the Russian Anarchist Petroff was making in the Bne de Jura, when one exploded in his hands the other day, was intended to be sent to Russia. On further enquiries it was found that, a
party of Nihilists, associated with Petroff, had been plotting against the lites of the Grand Dukes Cyril, Biers, Vladimir and Alexis. The four Grand Dukes were to have attended a Russian concert at the I On era, and in consequence of the discovery the authorities had distrihnhert a crowd of detectives about I the house for the protection of the | distinguished visitors. The Prefect, M. Lupine, personally superintended | the measures taken for their safety, I but at the last moment the Grand Dukes made up their minds not to attend.
