Alleged Jerry Building. Per Press Association. Wellington, July 18. A few months ago Mother Mary Joseph Aubert’s home of compassion, a retreat for incurables and orphan children _ was opened. The building cost £IO,OOO. What are believed to be serious defects in the Building have now been discovered. Reports from experts state that the heavy iron girders supporting the first floor have sagged. There is also a good deal of leakage through the walls and roof. Mother Aubert has been given to undertsand that the cost of remedying these defects will run into thousands. Mother Joseph is considerably embarrassed ns to what shall be done with the. children under her care.
