Messrs Todd and Douglas, Dunedin, report Oats: The market is firmer -with more enquiry. North Island merchants are now ordering more freshly and South Island country districts are still drawing largely on available stocks. It would require very little fnow to put the market up higher. Wo quote as follow : A Grade Garton and Sparrowbills 3a 2_};id, B grade 3s l}kd to 8s 2d, O grade 3s to 3s Duns 3s 2 y,<\ to 3s od, Long Tartars 3s ad to 3s~od, all f.o.b.s.i. Milling Wheat: Market remains without change as regards price. There was a quieter feeling during the latter half of the week, owing to the possibility of the duty being taken oft. This however is not taken very seriously and lias not had the effect of making holders accept any lower price and when the question is definitely settled wo expect baying will recommence. Wo quote 4s 8d to 4s Od f.o.b. sacks extra for mixed parcels. Cocksfoot: The past week has boon a very busy one with this seed and prices have advanced fully per lb. We don’t think top prices have yet been reached ' as, at the week end, there wore more buyers than sellers. The London merchants have been advancing their prices and considerable sales have been made to go there. 171 b seed has been sold at but there is not much available at that
