THE WAR AGAINSTS TRUSTS.

Press Association.—Copyright. London, July 11,

The Daily Telegraph’s New York correspondent states that Government asks for an injunction restraining the tions comprising the Tobacco Trust from operating as a combination in restraint of trade, between the States. Govern ment makes each of the trusts and 64 subsidiary corporations defendants. The British American Tobacco Company is also included.

President Eoosevelt’s proposal to ask for the appointment of receivers for the Tobacco Trust and other corporations is severely criticised by the press as tantamount to the adoption of Government ownership.
