ARBITRATION COURT.

Per Press Association,

Nelson, July 8,

The Arbitration Court began a sitting in Nelson to-day. Tho Labourers’ award by tho Conciliation Board will be taken on appeal from the employers, and a large number of cases of breaches of award, principally the employment of non-unionists. Chief interest centres round some cases where ordinary householders are arraigned for employing casual garden labour, not Unionist, without first ascertaining if Union men were available. The point hinges on whether such employers are included among the employers cited and embraced within the Labourers’ award.
