Messrs 'A. H. Atkinson and 00., Ltd., report —The early hour of starting salo (11 a.in.) militated againsf a large entry of pigs, and the wish generally of our clients is that the sale should start at the hour of noou. 'This hour will in future be adhered to. Fowls of a good class came to hand in large numbers and sold well, although several of our usual buyers wore not present. An ordinary entry of produce met with a fair demand. Quotations i-r-Horses: Aged hack £5 10s. Pigs: Slips 8s to Is 9d, small porkers 14s, empty Yorkshire sows£B. Fowls: Cockerels Is 3d to 3s 6d, hens Is Id to 2s 6d, ducks 2s 5d to 3s 4d (all at each), turkey liens 8s to 4s 3d. Produce : Potatoes 8s to 10s 6d per sack, onions Id to per lb, marrows jAI per lb, pumpkins }£d per lb, swedes 3s per sack. Factory bacon: sides 7%(1, hams 7%d.
