MARION BRASS BAND.

Annual Meeting. 1 ' Tlio annual meeting of Marton Baud was held last evening, the president, Mr J. J. McDonald, in the chair. There was a full attendance of members. The statement of receipts and expenditure showed a satisfactory position. There was a credit at the bank of £36 19s lid and no liabilities. The chairman congratulated the baud on its improved position. The electionl of officers resulted— Patron, Dr. Skorman; President, Mr J. J- 'McDonald ; vice-presidents, Messrs W. J. Birch, W. H. Smith, W. P. G. Levin, S. J. Gibbons, E. Newman, Robert Milsou, A. Cruickg’nauk, J. McEldowuey, O. P. Mather, J. A. Pawsou, Dr. Crawford, and Yen. Archdeacon Towgood. The resignation of Mr O. Pedersen as Bandmaster was accpeted with rorget. Mr Pedersen was elected a life member, and appreciation of his many years services was recorded. The appointment of a conductor was hold over. Mr A. E. Sharpe was unanimously elected bandmaster. Mr W. Woodham was re-elected band-sergeant, Mr J. Bell bandcorporal, Mr J. A. Bell drum-major, Mr Bert Orozicr secretary and treasurer, and Mr S. J. Davenport auditor. Mr W. A. J. Orozicr was appointed assistant secretary. The following were elected a committee—Messrs A. H. Sutcliffe, A. K. McGregor, J. T. Bound. W. Signal, and J. Ross. Messrs H. 0. Grouu and R. Young were re-olected trustees. Mr A. E. S. Crozier was appointed to assist the bandmaster iu selecting new music. It was decided to vote the bandmaster an honorarium of £lO 10s

a. vear. An apology was received from Mr H. C. Grouu for his unavoidable absence.
