Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as under on their usual fortnightly sale at Morton—Our yarding consisted of 2000 sheep, 50 head of cattle and*? horses. Bidding for sheep was dull at auction, but with the exception of one or two pens most of the lines were disposed ox privately atfor the sale. There was a fair inquiry for cattle, and all horses -were disposed of at satisfactory prices. The following is a list of prices realised—3 tootn Romney owes in lamb 33s bu, t.m. owes in lamb 11s 3d to 13s id, empty ewes 8s 9d to 12s, 2,4, and G tooth wethers IGs 10J, fat cows £3 17a Gd to £4, 3 to 3 year steers £3 19s bd light horses £3 to £8 os, horses £ll to £24.
At Addington yesterday _ store sheep wore rather dull of sale in consequence of the shortage of feed, and fat lambs and fat sheep sold well, tho latter showing a ~decided rise. There was a small mixed yarding or store sheep, and prices were somewhat easier, competition being slow. The principal lots sold were: Ewes s.m. 12s lid, 12s 9d, aged 8s lOd, os 2d, and smaller lots Ps 10d to 11s 3d. Hoggets 12s Bd, 11s lOd, 11s 9d, wethers 17s Id, 14s lOd, 15s lOd, 14s 6d. Prime lambs made 13s to 19s bd, and lighter 11s to 14s 6d. Fat sheep ; Wethers 27s 6d to 31s, prime 31s to g(3s 6d, lighter ICs lid to 20s Gd, prime ewes 19s to 38s, medium 15s to 18s Cd, aged 12s to 14s Gd, prime merino wethers 16s 6d to 19s 9d, Steers brought £0 10s to £ll los, heifers £3 10s to £B, cows £4 13s to £8 17s 6d, equal to 32s 6d to 25s for prime and 30s to'22s for medium per lOOlbs. ,A good yarding of veal calves sold at 7s 6d to 60s. There was a poor onrty of store cattle, aud the only animals saleable were'old cows for potting. Dairy cows sold fairly well, good sorts making £6 to £B, .extra to £lO 3s 6d, aud others £3 Is to £5 Ifls. Pig S _Bacouers made 45s to 6Ss and up to 68s for heavy weight, equal to 4?;'d to 5d per lb, porkers 32s to 40s, equal to cd to s&rt per ;lb large stores 33s to S3s, medium 14s to 30s, weaiiers“los to 13s M,
