HOCKEY.

By “Bully.”

The match between St. Paul’s and tthe Marten Hockey Club did not take place on Saturday owing to St. Paul’s being unable to got a team away at the last moment. They intend, however, to make a bold bid aud play the Martou Club about the middle of the month. The return match, Smokers against Non-Smok-ers will be played on Wednesday, 3rd inst at 8.80. Players are requested to be punctual. A referee is badly (wanted. The club would feel very grateful if some ex-hockey player would bo kind enough to take an interest in the club and come and take charge of the games at the practises and so help hockey on in Marto. There is no reason why hookey should not flourish in Martou ; they ihave good material, and only require a little coaching. The players are very keen indeed.

The Ladies’ Hockey Club had their opening day last Saturday, and had quite a large attendance.
