CONSTABLE CHARGED WITH PERJURY.
Press Association. Ashbueton, May 21. At the Magistrate's Court to-day, William Gillott, a police constable, was committed for trial on a charge of perjury. The offence whs alleged to have been committed when Gillott was giving evidence in a sly-grog case, in which the informant (Thomas Sutherland) was convicted and fined .£lO and costs.
