TORPEDO WARFARE.

Another Australian invention. Tress Association—Copyright. Melbourne, June 20. A trial will shortly be made of the invention of a young Australian, Millano, which it is claimed will revolutionise torpedo warfare. A board of navy experts reported favorably, whereupon the Minister of Defence afforded assistance and facilities to complete it. The inventor states it will increase the velocity from 27 to 32 knots in 1000 yards. Tho motive force is a now liquid explosive which develops much greater force than guncotton exploded by concussion, It was discovered accidentally while experimenting.
