la the House of Commons, in reply to Mr Vincent, Mr Asquifch said Government had not considered the desirability of offering Suez Canal shares to the Governments of Australia, New Zealand, India and Natal at the market rate in proportion to their interest in the canal as they did not think the suggestion practicable.
