ANDREW BLACK—PREMYSLAV CONCERT.

To-Morrow Night. A southern exchange stars the above company as “A Great Quartette” anil continues: ‘‘lncluded in this troupe are four artists who rant among the finest who have ever been listened to in Australasia. Mr Andrew Black’s uamo is, of course, one to bo conjured with wherever music made by a master singer is held in any esteem. In Herr Leopold Premyslav wo have to welcome a violinist who ranks in the first flight. New Zealand has in the past been favoured by visits from, such great players as Camilla Urso, Norman Neruda, Wilhelmj, Remeuyi and Heermau. > Herr Premyslav, by Ins playing last evening, undeniably proved that in no respect is he one whit behind those who have preceded him. Ho is the fortunate possessor of a truly magnificent instrument, seemed last evening that lie exhausted all its possibilities. His style is simple, unaffected, and free from the slightest suggestion of mannerism. Miss Bessie Beattie, a young lady-who comes from North Queensland, quite startled her audience by the faithfulness of her accompaniments ; but when she commenced Chopin’s highly difficult scherzo in C sharp minor her brilliancy, her technique, her phrasing, came as a very much unlookod-for surprise. Miss Rosina Buckraaun was heartily welcomed. She comes back to us in splendid voice and with a method much improved. Needless to say, all her numbers were cheered to the echo. ’ ’ A few seats may still bo reserved.
