DOG V. PONY.
I An exciting story was told in tho ( Bromley, fKent, Police Court, when the fierce light tot ween a bull-clog } and a pony was described. Mr George Mallisou, tho owner of tho dog, was ! summoned for £3 in respect of damages done to tho pony. "Mr Henry Towsou, of Orpington, was riding' a pony at Houston when the dog flew at tho pony’s neck. It ! then bit it in the legs, and, although | Mr Tewsou lashed with his whip, would udt desist. Several times the ! pony caught the dog with ids hoofs, i but'the dog returned to the attack, J and only gave up when exhausted, j Mr Mallisou suggested that it was j impossible for his dog to have ati tacked tho pony ; it must have been | tho other way about. But the : magistrates came to the conclusion j that the dpg was at fault, and j ordered Mr Mallisou to pay the I amount claimed, and costs. ) Mr Mallisou wanted to take action I respecting the serious injuries ini’ dieted on tho dog by the pony, but | was told that lie would probably i have Ids trouble for nothing.
