To-morrow's Great Drapery SlaughterA final reminder is given of tho drapery ' slaughter which starts at 1.30 p.m. to-morrow iu the auction mart, Broadway. The goods have been opened up since Saturday, arid judging by the number of people who have inspected them there should be a big sale. Svrpriso Ims been given by the fact that ftll the goods are new and fresh fi'«m English manufacturers. Such goods have never before been sold by public fraction in Marion. Tho Nottingham Irtce curtains, which the company make a. specialty of, are alone worth inspection. Toilet sets, tea sets, gold-mounted' glassware, and English hall-marked 1) carat; gold rings and brooches are to be offered in addition to the high grado drapery. Mr Hawkins, of Pahiatua, has been engaged by tho company as auctioneer, and he states that during the whole of the sales he has already conducted not a single article has been passed in.
