MURDER IN MELBOURNE.

Mr Baruett Bauer, the -well-known diamond merchant, was discovered in his office in Modern Chambers, Oolliiis Street, last evening with hia skull fractured in several places, and he died on removal to the hospital. Though there wore no signs of a strugglo he had evidently been brutally murdered. The affair is a complete mystery. A friend who saw Batier ten minutes before the body was discovered found the door of tho office looked, and no one in the building heard any suspicious sounds.
