THE FRENCH STRIKE.

A strike of naval reservists on account of alterations in the pension scale has paralysed the shipping at French ports. .The strike paralysed the shipping at Marseilles, Toulon, Havre, Bordeaux, and other ports]' depriving Paris of colonial produce. Torpedo boats and transports are conveying the mails and perishable produce from Algiers and TuEis. The British companies are arranging for an entiro Channel service if the CalaisDieppe boats are withdrawn; Only Erertch Steamers on the high seas and those permitted to - leave ports by the Strike Committee remain unaffected. Every French port is paralysed, and the Government are using the navy for the passenger and mails services.
