A NARROW ESCAPE.
Press Association. Goes, May 27. A drowning accident, which involved the loss of a 3-horse team, and the narrowescape of the driver, a man named Arthur James, occurred to-day. In attempting to ford the Waikaka Elver, which is in flood, the team got into difficulties. The driver, in an unsuccessful attempt to cut the shafter free, nearly lost Ins life, but managed to struggle to the bank. fhe team w-as valued at over .£IOO.
