WELLINGTON HOSPITAL.

Per Press Association. Wellington, May 27. A conference of delegates from local bodies was held to-day to consider the increase in the District Hospital estimates from £19,750 in 1906 to £27,100 in 1907. This is an increase of 40 per cont. The number of patients increased by 10 per cent., and it was decided, “ That the Government be approached and asked to make the Hospital Trustees directly responsible to the local bodies ; also that the Government be represented on the Board of Trustees, and that the rating ho upon a population basis.”
