BANQUET TO MR HUGHES.

London Welshmen, including members of Parliament, leading business men, lawyers and pressmen, banquetted Mr Hughes, Australian representative at the Navigation Conference,at the National Liberal Club. Mr Lloyd George, presiding, said Mr Hughes was a man of whom his countrymen were very proud. Mr Hughes, responding, advocated cheaper cable rates and transport service, which would do more than anything to promote good feeling.
