Wanganui Training Notes.
Wanganui, May 22. Over duo hundred visiting horses have arrived for the Wanganui meeting, which opens to-morrow. There are indications for fine weather and it is likely to he the most successful steeplechase gathering ever held bore. This morning Lo Bean, Recreation and Top Rose jumped the hurdles, the former shaping best. Te Kaiuui and Raimi also jumped fairly well. King Billy solus ran a fast six furlongs. Paritutu and Regulation were associated iu a fast six furlongs. Gauze and Swimming Bolt cut oM live furlongs iu Imin Ssec ; Flimsuap a similar journey, with a flying start, in Imin 4sec; Bt. Bill tho same iu Imin 4sec. Marguerite and Euku ran five furlongs from a standing start iu Imin 6scc, tho former having a slight advantage at the finish. Pharos jumped tho fences unattractively. Waiterbre and Armistice worked Ou tho plough. Pawa put in two solid rounds. Hurimoaua struck tho hurdles hard, Whitehouso getting a fall hut was unhurt. Maui, Engraver, Irish, Eclair, Waitapn, Nestataor, Waipaku, Motoa, Waicola, Toa Tuhi, Dan Leno, Sedgemoor and a host of others did useful work.
