NATIVE TROUBLE IN FIJI.
Per Pi ess Association Auckland, May 22. News from Fiji states that the Executive Council discussed the best menus of dealing with the Punjabis, who recently caused trouble, hut the result of their deliberations has uot boeu made public. Meantime the malcontents were ordered to be distributed between Ba, Lautoka and Lahasa, but they refused to be separated. A police force, twenty strong, proceeded to enforce the order. The Indians did uot resort to any violence and they were finally lauded on the three islands named. On arrival at Lautoka that section of the. malcontents refused to be separated, but it is expected they will be induced to adopt that course without further trouble on the return of a number of policemen, now absent.
