PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM.
Per Press Association. Wellington, May 17. The Post, states that the proposal to semi a professional team of footballers to England is being perfected quietly and it is stated everything will bo completed early next month. The forward team is reported to have beeiYpraetlcally selected aud most of the backs have been picked, although none of the Wellington hacks have yet been approached. Tire project is said to have been originated by a Now Zealand player, who opened negotiations with the Northern Union and then began to collect a team, in which task little difficulty has been experienced.
