The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report that at their sale at Palmerston North on Thursday they had an average yarding of sheep and cattle. There wa a good attendance of buyers, and bidding at auction for both sheep and cattle was brisk, and a total clearnce was effected. Quotations :—Sheep: Lambs 12s sd, fat ewes 14s 7sd, forward wethers 15s, ewes in lamb 12s. Cattle : Weansrs 203 to 2K, weauer steers 37s to 31s, 18 months -leers £2 8s Od to £2 10s, 18 months heifers 22s Cd to 265, 2 year steers £3 12s Gd, 2% year steers £4 Bs, forward bullocks £5 2", Cd to £6 3s, store cows 26s to 35:... heifers in calf 325, fat cows £4 5s springing cows £5.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Fielding, report for -week ending May 11th as follows:—Kimbolton: Sheep and cattle pens were well filled and most successful sale resulted. The yarding of sheep consisted principally of lambs, all of which were sold under the ghamnier at good prices. Some of the pens of lambs were specially good quality. A complete clearance of cattle was effected. Sheep: Wether Jambs lis 9d, small wether lambs 6s Sd ot 7s 3d, mixed lambs 9s lid to 12s 6d, ewes in lamb 4 tooth to f.m. 14s id. Cattle: Cows and calves £3 lis to £3 18s, forward cows £2 15s, fat cows £3 5s to £3 12s, store cows 255, empty cows £3. Gs, 2 year heifers in calf £3 2s, 18 months steers £2l Bs, 2% year steers £5 2« Gd, mixed weaners 20a to 245. At Feilding there was a heavy yarding of both sheep and cattle. | Buyers were present for sheep and "a good sale resulted, although there was a tendency to drag at times. A fair demand existed for cattle. Sheep: Medium lambs 10s lOd, good 12s to 12s 6d, aged ewes in lamb 10s (id, small 2 tooth wethers 14s, store ewes 8s 3d. Cattle-: Yearling hoifersj 22s 6d, mixed weaners 24s to 453,718 months steers 2Gs, heifers in calf £2, empty heifers 365, fat cows £4 Bs.
