The secretary was instructed to inquire of Mr Massey whether he could address a meeting at Feilding, and when, and on receiving a favourable reply to engage the hall and advertise the meeting. ~ x ~, n™ The following remit to the uoufeSnce was Idopted :-That district secretaries be appointed instead Ot Provincial organising secretaries, whoso duty it shall be to canvas foi insurance, get subscribers to tne Farmers' Union Advocate ana advertisements, collect subscriptions and get new 'members within .the district, for -which they are appointed, and to attend to tho general interest of the Union. That the appointments be made in such places as Wnnganui, Marton, Feilding, Palmerston, Pahiatua, Mastertou, and Levin, and other places, and that a committee be set up to carry I this into effect, and the monies received as Provncial levies be used for the purpose.
