The Privy Conncillors.

The swearing-in as Privy Councillors of Sir Joseph Ward, Dr Jameson, General Botha, and Mr Moore to-day was an interesting ceremony. In addition to King Edward there were also present the Prince of Wales, the Dnkegof Connaught the Marquis of Kipon, Lord Elgin, and a number of Privy Councillors. Sir Joseph Ward was entertained at dinner by Mr Walters, proprietor of the London Times' to-night, and proceeded to Scotland at midnight. He will be presented with the Freedom of the City of Edinburgh to-morrow, and will attend the launch by Lady Ward of the Union Co's steamer Maori at Dumbarton on Saturday.
