£5. Messrs Abraham and Williams report ; At Palmerston on Thursday wo hand an entry of about 3000 sheep ami 600 head of cattle. There was a large attendance and competition throughout the sale, the result being that very little won': out unsold. Quotations ; Pat fwethers 17s 9d, fat and forward wethers 17s, fat and forward owes 1-ls 4d, good lambs 12s Id to 12s 4d. cull lambs 7s 8d to 8s Id, ewes in lamb mixed ages 15s fid to 16s, f.m. ewes in lamb 13s 7d to 14s * Id, store ewes 7s 9d to 13s lid. Cattle: 3-year steers £4 to £4 9s 6d, 3-year steers £3'*ss to £3 13s, 18-months steers £3 7s to’ £3 Is, weauer steers 26s to 30s, mixed weauers 13s 6d to 30s, small weaners 5s 6d to 10s, fat cows £3 10s to £4 Is 6d, forward cows £2 10s to £3, store cows 25s to 30s. Messrs Abraham and Williams held their usual sale at Taihape on Tuesday, when a very large number of sheep were yarded, every pen being tilled. A very good class of sheep cams forward. Some lines of lambs were especially good Prices for good stuff were equal to late sales, but for inferior sheep the demand was not so good. A good yarding of cattle met with a ready sale. Prices; Very good wether lambs up to 13s, good ewe lambs 14s, mixed lambs 9s to 13s 3d, two tooth ewes 30s Id, 3 and 4 tooth wethers 15s 6d to 16s , f.m. owes in lamb 13s 4d, ditto 14s 6d, and f.m. 15s 7d, 4 and 0 tooth half bred wethers 14s Gd : fat merino wethers 13s. Cattle :15 mouths steers 38s fid, 3 year bullocks £5 os forward bullocks £5 Js to £6, fat cows £4 os to £4 15s, good weauers 32s to 20s, mixed yearlings 355.
