German Comment. Press Association—Copyright. London, May 9. The Franco-Japanese Treaty negotiations exclude Siam. The negotiations took the German press by surprise. The majority of papers applaud it as a measure for the consolidation of peace. A few, however, interpret tho negotiations as auo tlier insidious attack on German policy, one descriibing it as a manifest sign of King Edward’s omnipresent and omnipotent hand.
