RECAPTURE OF A PRISONER

Cant, the escapee from Berrxnia gaol on April J9th, has been rc-arreated at Forbes after an exciting chase, during which he fired a pea rifle at the police, who replied with their revolvers. He also used the butt of the rifle and his teeth to resist capture. A stolen horse, sulky, and tent were found in his possession.
