Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Jolmsonville sale as follows:—A good entry of bullocks of fine quality sold freely at 21s per lOOlbs. Best' bullocks, -CO 10s to £0 l7s6d 5 others. £8 5s to £9; light steers, £7 2s 6d to £7 15s. A fair entry of sbeep of fine quality were at last week’s rates. Heavy ewes, 16s to 18s 2d j lighter, 14s to 14s loci; wethers, 17s 6d to 18s; lambs, 12s to 12s 11s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Omxiany, Ltd., report that at their sale at Himataugi on Monday stock did not come forward as advertised owing to difficulty in mustering on account of the recent heavy rains. Additional cattle, however, came in, and a good sale resulted, several pons of fat and forward cows selling well, and only two nous being unsold. Quotations. Sheep : Store • lambs Ss Od, good lambs 12s Id, fat ewes 14s. Cattle : Weauers 10s to 20s, la-mouths’ steers £2 3s, 18-mouths heifers 37s Gd, store cows 27s Gd to 355, forward cows £2 50s. fat cows £3 14s to £4 6s, springing heifors £3 7s Gd to £3 10s, %}■>- year steers £4 0s Gd, forward bullocks £5 14s. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., held their sale in Marton on Tuesday last. Shep and cattle came forward in excess of advertised numb rs and all sold readily under the hammer, a total resulting. We quote :—Forward 4 and 6-tooth.weth-ers ids od, lambs from 8s Gd to 13s Id, culls Gs 3d, empty ewes I.os 6d, Shropshire 2-tooth ewes in lamb 14s 7d, fat ewes 13s 5d to 14s 3d. Cattle: Fat cows £4 10s to £4 14s, 2-year steers £3 15s Gd, 3-yoar steers £5 Is, mixed yearlings 40s ■ Gd, empty heifers 82s Gd, cows in calf £.3 11s. Pigs : Slips 9s Gd to 10s, weauers as Od to Cs od, stores 13s Gd.
(From Our Own Reporter.) The Loan and Mercantile held an excellent sale at Kimholton yesterday. Favoured with fine weather, the attendance was better, and the bidding more spirited than iisual. A clearance was effected of all tne sheep and cattle ottered at prices ou a pur with those obtained jxp Peilding.
