Press Association. —Copyright. London, May 5. In the llonso of Lords tile debate on the second reading of Lord Newton’s Bill for the reform of the House, of Lords was adjourned. Lord Cawdor moved that the Bill 'bo referred to a Select Committee. Lord Crewe opposed the Bill and the amendment on the ground that Government was introducing a measure shortly which would deal less .with the .reform of the Lords than the relations of the two Houses. Ho foreshadowed proposals limiting the powers of the Lords.
