Rangitikei Rugby UnionA general meeting of Rangitikei Rugby Union was'held at Mar ton last evening, Mr J. A. Pawson presiding. A deputation was appointed to wait on Wanganui Rugby Union to enter a protest against Bulls Club affiliating with an outside Union. Several speakers dwelt on the urgent need of some definite step being taken by the parent body to protect the suh-nnions in respect to boundaries. It was decided to include Bulls Club in list of fixtures to bo drawn up this week. Tho Management Committee was recommended to classify referees. A suggestion to hold a public school competition was favourably discussed. The rules and by-laws as drafted by the Management Committee wore amended and passed. It was decided to print copies for distribution amouy members of various clubs.
The meeting of juniors and thirds, advertised for the White Hart Hotel to-night, will be held in the Borough Council Chambers at eight o’clock.
All members of Martou Football Club are requested to turn out for practice on Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m., when teams will be chosen by captain and vice-captain. The cap fixtures will start on Wednesday week, so it behoves all members to get into condition and training at once.
