THE KING IN DANGER
A Heated Axle. Press Association. —Copyright. Paris, May 5. It has transpired that when King Edward’s train stopped at Sion it was discovered that the grease box of one of the coaches had become detached from the axlo and had fallen off when running at 100 kilometres an hour. Had the train restarted a terrible accident must have occurred, as tho axlo was white hot from riotiou. . , , , The Daily Chronicle stated that when the grease box was found it was discovered that the bolts and pins had been extracted. It looks as if an attempt had been made to derail the train. King Edward arrived in London after a rough passage. During the tour he travelled 4930 miles.
