Per Press Association Auckland, May 3. Mr C. H. Poole; addressing hia constituents, said he believed the Land Bill had been brought do\vn by Mr McNao for the purpose of gauging public opinion. It was an honest attempt to solve the question and the voice of the people waboing heard. He prophesied that tin* Pure Foods Bill.would bo passed next session. Ho was accorded a vote of thanks and confidoifc'c. . ,
Mr Massey addressed a-large meeting on the Land Bill. A resolution was carried that the freehold ’tenure is the most suitable.
