Fined £lO. Press Association. IvEVf Plymouth, April 30. Before Mr Hidden, "5.M.,~ to-day, IX. P. Bosbuek was fined £lO and costs for having sold goods by auction, he being unlicensed. Defendant officiated as an auctioneer in disposing of thanks offerings at a Methodist harvest festival in the country, and he pleaded that the offence was committed in ignorance. The Magistrate said he could not inflict a less fine that £lO, but on the suggestion of defendant's counsel he agreed to make representations to the Department asking that the penalty be remitted and only a nominal fine be imposed.
