Messrs Gorton aud Son report on their Peildiug sale on Friday as follows We had a smaller yarding of sheep than usual, but a heavy yarding of cattle. Sheep sold well throughout, more particularly really good lambs, which advanced slightly in price. We were successful in quitting the whole of 4 our entry in sheep and all but three pens of cattle. We quote ‘Cattle : Bush-fed weaners 25s aud 395, band-fed weauers 15s (id to 17s, forward cows £2 10s Od, £3 17s 6d, £3 Is, £3 3s 6d; fat cows £-1 10s, fat 3-ycar heifers £3 10s, 18-mouth steers £3, £3 8s (id, £3 18s (id; yearling steers 375, store cows £3 (is (id. Sheep : Best mixed lambs 10s 4d, 11s 4d, 11s lOd, )2s 3d; medium lambs 7s 9d to 9s I 'd, cull lambs os 3d to 7s, wether lambs 10s 3d to 10s Bd, empty owes 13s Id, old store ewes us lOd, 3 aud 4-tooth ewes in lamb 20s Id, s.m. owes in lamb 13s 7d.

Messrs Freeman R. Jackson aud Co. reportAt our Wanganui sale last Wednesday, 17th instant,, we had a heavy vardiug, viz., 510 head cattle, 8600 mixed sheep aud 90 pigs. Cattle sold fairly well aud most lines found buyers at satisfactory prices. Bullocks suitable for fattening paddocks in better demand, though very few really good Hues offering. Sheep met a dragg ug sale at auction but we, however, quitted several lots after the sale. Pigs sold briskly.
