THE CHRISTCHURCH SENSATION.
Press Association. Christchxjbch, April 19. James Smithers, one of the principals in the Moorhouso Avenue sensation op! April sth, appeared at the Magistrate’s Court this morning before Mr V. G. Day, S.M., in answer to a charge of having attempted to murder Nellie Jackson. The chief detective stated that Mrs jackson was still unfit to attend at the Court. The accused whenoharged said, “ I don’t remember anything about it.” He was remanded for one week.
