RATS AND LEPROSY.
Press Association.—Copyright. Melbourne, March 19. A dead rat lias been found infected with leprosy. It is the first instance of the kind since one found at Odessa in 1903. The haccifli of leprosy correspond in every way to those found in human beings, 'but the commuicatiou of the disease in . rats to human beings or other animals lias not been demonstrated. It is a'mystery how it reached Melbourne.
