TAIHAPE.
Nominations for Councillors for the ensuing term took placo yesterday. The following gentlemen were nominated—Messrs J. Bebau, Ellis, James McCormick, R. W.* Smith, G. Bray, R. Healy, R. Keariis, F. H. Gibbons and Ales. Foster. The first five w.ere members of the first Council.
For the Mayoral- chair there are three aspirants, viz., Messrs Joseph Ivess, William MoLennan, and Anthony Nathan. -■
