The Labour Party’s manifesto lays down that tho ultimate aim of the Party is to secure tho full result of their industry to tho wealth producer and tho only radical cure of tho unemployed question is the abolition of the system of production for profit. It advocates State settlements where work could be obtained as a right. The party is opposed to State-aided immigration until tho surplus labour in Australia is absorbed. It advocates a progressive land tax with exemption of £3OO, old ago pensions, nationalization of mines, State Bank, and protection of trade union funds.
