Tho inland revenue authorities have agreed to a compromise whereby the Rand Mines, Limited, only pay income tax on profits made in Britain by the sale of shares in Loudon, or on interest earned here subject to a refund of tho tax deducted from dividends paid to shareholders resident in Britain.
