Stock Report,
Messrs J. H. Nixon and Co., Wanganui, report;—We had a heavy yarding of both sheep and cattle. Bidding for sheep was brisk throughout, and we have to report a total clearance. There was a keen demand for' all classes of ewes, the prices realised being over Is advance on last quotations. Several lines of 3 and 4 tooth wethers elicited keen competition, and were quitted at satisfactory prices. Bidding for cattle was somewhat slack, though the lines sold realised current prices. We quote Sheep : Pat owes 15s 6d, 2 tooth ewes 15s 6d, others r.-s 10d,, 3 and 4 tooth ewes 16s 3d, f.m. ewes lOs—do 11s lid, cull ditto 7s 4d to lid, 2 and 4 tooth wethers 13s Od to 15s (3d, s.m. wethers Bs, wether lambs 9s, mixed ditto 9s 3d to 11s, cull lambs 5s to Os lid, good woolly lambs 13s 4d. Cattle: Pat cows £3 15s to £4 17s, forward bullocks £4 17s to £5 Is 6d, mixed weaners 7s 6d to 15s, mixed yearlings SOs, yearling steers 31s, 3to 3 year steers £3 7s, dairy cows £5.
