ALLEGED GOLD STEALING.

Dunedin, April 15,

Chow Keo, who was arrested at Alexanlra on Sunday, was brought before Mr Burgess, S.M., to-day, and charged with having on or about March 10th received 20oz of gold from Edward Koiderer, he (Chow Koo) knowing the said gold to be dishonestly obtained. Constable Quinn asked for a remand until the 23rd inst., and opposed the granting of bail. Accused was remanded, and bail was allowed. His Worship fixing it at two sureties for .£SO, and one for £IOO. The bail was forthKoiderer, working drodgomaster of the Otago No. 1 dredge, at Muller’s Flat, wl o iva: arrested on Saturday on a charge cf stealing 20oz of gold, was brought before the Court at Koxburgh and remanded to appear at Alexandra on 53rd inst.
